Welsh Assembly Government - Broadband Wales Programme Strategy 2005-2007, January 2005
The five-year, multi-million pound, flagship Broadband Wales Programme was launched by the Welsh Assembly Government in July 2002. Since the inception of the programme, the broadband market has developed significantly. During the summer of 2004, the Broadband Wales Unit undertook a strategic review of the programme and as a result this strategy was launched in January 2005. The strategy attempts to set further challenging targets for the Broadband Wales Unit for 2005 – 2007 to be achieved against an increasingly clearer policy position from the European Commission on state aid as it applies to broadband and Ofcoms Strategic Review of Telecommunications.
